Designed to introduce people to the creativity and educational value of exhibiting, this first-of-its-kind competition for NOJEX allows participants to use digital images of stamps and postal history rather than requiring ownership of the actual philatelic material. By removing that barrier, the competition makes exhibiting more accessible to students from all backgrounds and demonstrates that anyone with curiosity and imagination can participate.

The theme for the inaugural competition is New Jersey. Every exhibit must relate to the theme and include at least one philatelic element, such as a stamp, cover, postmark, postal stationery, or other item connected with the postal system.

A single-page exhibit is a concise, self-contained presentation that tells a complete philatelic or thematic story on just one physical or digital page. It challenges exhibitors to communicate their ideas clearly, creatively, and effectively within a limited space—making it an excellent introduction to the art of exhibiting.
